Charter Bus Fare and Fee System
The fare for charter buses is calculated based on the "Charter Bus Fare and Fee System" established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism.
The operation of charter bus services incurs various expenses such as labor costs, fuel expenses, vehicle inspection and maintenance costs, insurance premiums, etc.
The "Charter Bus Fare and Fee System" aims to ensure the provision of safe and reliable charter bus transportation services by allowing charter bus operators to charge fares and fees that appropriately reflect these safety-related costs.
Each bus company submits a fare notification that includes both the upper and lower limits of the fare. The fare must be set within the range of these upper and lower limits.
❶Fare
Fare is calculated by combining the hourly fare and the mileage-based fare.
- Time-based Fare:
This fare is calculated by multiplying the hourly fare by the total time from departure to return, including 1 hour each for departure inspection and return inspection (2 hours total). The minimum guarantee is set at 5 hours, which includes 2 hours of inspection time in addition to the standard 3 hours.Time-based Fare = (Travel time + 2 hours) × Price per hour
* Travel time is rounded down for less than 30 minutes and rounded up to 1 hour for 30 minutes or more.
- Mileage-based Fare:
This fare is calculated by multiplying the mileage-based fare by the distance from departure to return.Mileage-based Fare = Travel distance in kilometers × Price per kilometer
* Travel distance is rounded up to 10 kilometers if it is less than 10 kilometers.

❷Fee
The Fee consists of two elements: "Driver Rotation Fee" and "Late Night and Early Morning Operation Fee."
- Driver Rotation Fee:
This fee is charged if the actual distance exceeds 500 km during the day or 400 km during the night. - Late Night and Early Morning Operation Fee:
This fee is charged when the time includes roll call, inspection time, and travel time between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
